Saint Laurent Fall 2014 PFW

Hedi Slimane is hooked on his grunge designs for Saint Laurent. The fall collection was all about sequins, glitter and colourful fur. It was the late 70s meets the 90s with the kitten eyes, messy tousled hair and short dolly dresses. Hedi has taken a completely different route to what Laurent used to be with the classic tailored suits and made it a more fresh younger brand.

From The 70s To The Grunge 90s- Saint Laurent Fall 2013

So either Nirvana or Guns & Roses were on creative director Hedi Slimane playlist when he was designing Saint Laurent fall 2013 collection. From being inspired by the 70s for spring/summer to 90s grunge for winter. The collection was screaming 'Camden Town', from the chunky cardigans to the heavy metal boots. With all the floral dresses and tights, where did the classic 'YSL' suits go?
