Cruising Through Chanel In Dubai

Arabian fever for Chanel resort 2015 collection which took place at home in Dubai. For every resort/cruise collection, Karl Lagerfeld creates designs influenced by the location. We've had Coco Chanel hometown Cannes, then denim home Texas, to Moscow, and now Dubai. Inspired by the local dressing of the shomaj (patterned head gear), harlem pants and Aladdin slippers. Lagerfeld went all out representing a middle eastern collection, with a twist of western. Is this a hit or miss? I do love the moon accessories.

It's a fashionable month all around the world, from fall 2014 fashion weeks to Harvey Nichols showcasing some of the must have pieces for this season. HN held the wonderful fashion event in Madinat Jumeirah presenting styles from Mary Katrantzou feathered dresses to Aquazzura 'IT' shoes. Time to start checking off my wishlist.

To celebrate DSF - Dubai Shopping Festival, head to OTB (outside the box) Market and shop some local and regional brands. The market starts 23rd Jan - 1st Feb, timings Thurs - Sat 12pm-12am, Sun - Wed 4pm-10pm. Can't wait to get my hands on some Mochi pieces.

Louis Vuitton celebrated 30 years in the Middle East with a photo exhibition in Cuadro Gallery, DIFC. Louis Vuitton collaborated with Hia magazine, and picked inspirational faces who have incredible journeys. Whether the person emotionally or physically travelled, they found themselves through their adventure.

A Fairytale Event At Saks Dubai With Zuhair Murad

Zuhair Murad showcased a fairytale collection at Saks Fifth Avenue Dubai. With Murad sitting front row at his show, it made it that more special. Redcarpets and award shows are never complete without A-lister in a Murad dress. 

Take a L-O-N-G good look at his breathtaking eveningwear, from the fine details to the beautiful rich fabric, nothing is missed. It's no wonder celebrities can't get enough of his gowns. In an interview Murad once said, "I am only interested in unique pieces - I love shiny things, draped things and small details." 

It's obvious a lot of hardwork is put into his designs. This collection oozed class, glamour and sophistication, whether it be worn in a wedding or gala, it will definately stand out.
