Dior Couture FW2014

Raf Simons has really done it this time, what a beautiful executed collection for Dior couture FW14. Simon was inspired by many centuries, at first we saw inspiration from Maria Antoinette, the models showcased some breathtaking gowns, with exaggerated hemline. We then moved onto the (Edwardian) era with long-line coats and fine tailored pants.
With a touch of the 20s from the flappish beaded dresses to the groovy 60s with the micro mini skirts. We make our way to the future with sci-fi's broad shouldered dresses to finally back to the present of lighter flawy colourful pieces. Simons took us through a fashionable history class, leaving us in awe.
