The Oscar 2014 proven to be a big hit with dresses, thank God for that. I haven't been impressed with much of the looks this award season, but yesterday's red carpet proved me wrong. There was a mix of elegance, class and sexiness, which is how it should be. Well that's the end of the awards, who was your best dressed?

Flirt With Chloe Fall 2014 PFW

Creative director Clare Waight Keller has outdone herself for Chloe fall 2014. Bringing back the softer 70s tones to the runway, the collection was a hit. The brand flirted with gorgeous dresses, that came from the purest of silk and ruffles. We also saw an edgier side to the brand with leather, which keeps making an appearence on the catwalks, proven to be a key piece next season. I do love those slouched beige pants and knitted jumpers. Did you see those ankle boots??? They are on my MUST list for fall.

Isabel Marant Fall 2014 Paris Fashion Week

Isabel Marant is the ultimate Parisian everyday woman and she shows that through all designs. For fall the collection was all about laidback cool - knit jumpers, slouchy leather pants, khaki prints with some mini skirts. It's sexy casual meets Melanie Griffith 'working girl' with the overpowering shoulder-pad jackets. With a sold out H&M collaboration I don't think Marant will have any issues with this line.

Dior Fall 2014 Paris Fashion Week

Raf Simons showcased two types of designs for Dior fall 2014. A mixture of tailored coats and jackets in fannel, camel and pinstripe with long gilets for the 'working girl'. But by night we see bigger dresses with flared hemlines and two-tone colours split down the middle. A cross between the 50s & 60s era Simon kept to the brands vibe of that wholesome feminine woman.
